She has written ten texts that include titles on individual differences in language learning, nonverbal communication in the language classroom, positive psychology applications, innovations in language teaching methodology, peace linguistics, and teacher wellbeing.  She has published books with Oxford University Press, Routledge, Multilingual Matters, and Springer. Her research appears in Q1 journals such as Modern Language Journal, System, TESOL Quarterly, ELT Journal, and the Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development, among others. She is currently co-editing two volumes with Multilingual Matters as well as a Special Issue on the role of institutions in language educator wellbeing.

Tammy’s passions also include exploring diverse cultures. She has lived and worked in Chile, Costa Rica, United Arab Emirates, and Kurdistan and has visited 51 countries (and counting) to date. She is married to Mario Meza and has three children (Mario Jr., Margarita and Abby), two pit bulls and a spoiled little yipper named “Shakah”
